India became the EBRD’s 69th shareholder when it joined the Bank in July 2018.
The value of joint India-EBRD investment stood at €872.4 million as of end of January 2021. EBRD finance accounted for €696.9 million, and India investment accounted for €175.5 million.
The joint investment has been in Turkey, followed by Romania and Ukraine. Broken down by industry, the investment has been in financial institutions, and in industry, commerce and Agribusiness.
From 2015 to 2019, Indian consultants were awarded 1 contract worth over €15,2 million.
