Project Description

Provision of a EUR 30 million senior loan to UniCredit Leasing Croatia under the Financial Intermediaries Framework.

Project Objectives

The loan will be used to provide leases to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), specifically for equipment, light commercial vehicles, trucks and trailers.

Transition Impact

The transition impact is expected to derive from market expansion by providing UniCredit Leasing Croatia with funding to scale up its SME lending activities. The proposed project will increase the local SMEs'access to long-term lease financing and help support the recovery of the Croatian leasing market. Additionally, at least 32% of the facility will be used to extend lease financing to eligible SMEs operating in underserved regions (i.e. outside of the capital city of Zagreb).
