Project Description

An equity commitment of up to EUR 25 million to V4C Poland Plus Fund (the "Fund").

Project Objectives

The Fund will seek to generate long-term capital appreciation through equity and equity-related investments in lower mid-market companies operating in Poland and other central and southeast
European countries.

Transition Impact

Transition impact is expected to be achived through: (i) supporting the growth of its lower midmarket investee companies, both organically and through consolidation; and (ii) mobilising additional investment capital for its investment region.

Client Information

The Fund will be managed by Value4Capital, an independent private equity firm since 2011, when it spun out of Amundi Private Equity Funds (formerly SGAM).

EBRD Finance Summary

EBRD is considering an equity commitment of up to EUR 25 million.

Total Project Cost

The Fund is targeting total commitments of up to EUR 200 million.

Environmental and Social Summary

Categorised as a Financial Institution: The Fund will be required to comply with the EBRD's Performance Requirement 2 (Labour and Working Conditions), Performance Requirement 4 (Health and Safety) and Performance Requirement 9 (Financial Intermediaries). The Fund will also be required to adopt and implement the Bank's Environmental & Social Risk Management Procedures for Active Equity Investments, adhere to the EBRD's Environmental and Social Exclusion list, and submit Annual Environmental and Social reports to the Bank.
