Armenian capital markets: New opportunities and challenges

The EBRD, Central Bank of Armenia and Nasdaq OMX Armenia are hosting a conference on “Armenian capital markets: New opportunities and challenges”, which will take place on Friday 07 February 2014 from 9:30 in Marriott Hotel in Tsakhkadzor, Armenia.

Speakers will include Arthur Javadyan, the Chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia, local and foreign financial market institutions as well as the representatives from international financial institutions present in Armenia. 

The event will bring together participants from the local banks, potential corporate bond issuers, the Armenian and regional stock exchanges, clearing/settlement institutions and rating agencies, the Armenian and regional central banks, and the Ministry of Finance. 

Agenda

The forum will be opened by Arthur Javadyan, the Chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia; David Sargsyan, Minister of Finance; and Andre Kuusvek, the EBRD Director for Local Currency and Capital Markets Development.

Andre Kuusvek will also chair a panel discussion on "Market Participant Views of Armenia Capital Market Development Strategy and Prospects", while Bank staff including Isabelle Laurent, Deputy Treasurer; Jim Turnbull, Senior Pension Capital Markets Advisor; and Mark Davis, Head of Yerevan Office will take part in a number of sessions during the event.
