Purpose of the Environmental and Social Impact Assessments
Financing, via a special purpose vehicle, of a portion of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic's (SOCAR) share of the development costs of the South Caucasus Gas Pipeline.
The South Caucasus Gas Pipeline is a 690 kilometre, 42 inch diameter gas export pipeline from the Shah Deniz field in Azerbaijan to the Turkish-Georgian border, for the transportation of Shah Deniz gas as well as eventual gas from other gas fields in the Caspian Sea region.
