Project description
Parallel financing with the European Investment Bank (‘EIB’) of key sections of Trans-European Corridor Vc (‘Corridor Vc’), which is the main north-south Corridor running through BiH.
Project components/locations
- Kakanj to Drivusa section (length = 15.2 km);
- Vlakovo to Tarčin section (length = 18.9 km);
- Pocitelj to Southern Border with Croatia (length = 21.4 km).
- Odzak to Northern Border with Croatia (length = 10.9 km).
Business purpose/transition impact
Support to BiH for the development of the motorway network, through the provision of loan financing, together with a programme of institutional support for the FBHMD and for developing subsequent sections of the corridor using private financing.

ESIA Summary
Full ESIA availability
The EIA has already been publicly disclosed and two rounds of public consultations were held at 20 locations in project affected communities along the Corridor in the period 2005-2007. Nevertheless EBRD requested the Client to disclose again the EIA and PCDP documents for additional 120 days on the Client’s web site so as to meet the Bank’s Environmental and Public Information Policies requirements.
