Purpose of the Environmental and Social Impact Assessments

The EBRD is considering debt financing to the Company for development of the open pit copper mine of Tsagaan Suvarga (“TS”) in the south-eastern part of Mongolia (the “Project”).

The client is Mongolyn Alt Corporation (‘MAK’ or the ‘Company’), a Mongolian private mining company.

Expected transition impact will be support of Private Sector Development, and setting high standards of transparency, business and environmental conduct.
