The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD, “the Bank”), is considering the financing of the construction, and operation of a new cement dry process line in western Ukraine (about 25km south-east of Lviv), if the project is approved, the proposed facility would replace the existing wet-process lines for OJSC Mykolaivcement. The Bank has existing financing with OJSC Mykolaivcement.

The proposed facility will have an annual production capacity of 2.1 Mt of cement.

If approved, the new line would apply dry-process technology, which has lower energy consumption , contributing towards a smaller environmental footprint when compared to wet-process lines.
