Purpose of the Environmental and Social Impact Assessments
The EBRD is considering providing up to around EUR 55 million equivalent by participating in a Polish Zloty long-term loan totalling approx. EUR 112.5 million equivalent. to Darłowo Energy Centre, a special purpose company, for the construction of Phase III of Darłowo wind farm project, approximately a 250 MW wind farm in Northern Poland. The project is being developed by Invernergy, an experienced US energy development company, with Enerco, a local renewable energy developer. The financing will be used for the construction of Phase III of the project (74MW).Currently the Sponsors operates 177.5 MW in the same area (Darłowo I and Darłowo II projects).
