Project Description

The EBRD is considering providing a A loan of up to RUB 600 million to “Carcade” LLC (“Carcade” or the “Company”), a Russian leasing company and a subsidiary of Polish financial services group Getin Holding SA. The Carcade will use the loan would be used by Carcade to provide financial leases for vehicles used by regional private SMEs in the Russian Federation, in particular outside of Moscow and Saint Petersburg.

Transition Impact

The EBRD loan to Carcade will have the following transition impact:

  • Support the growth of new mid- to long-term lease portfolio in local currency in line with customer demand;
  • Supply still scarce term funding in local currency to SMEs in the regions outside Moscow and Saint Petersburg, and
  • Assist the Company in diversifying its funding base and improving its asset and liability management (currency and tenor).

Carcade LLC ranks among top three leading auto leasing companies in the Russian Federation. The Company, which specialises in the leasing of cars/light trucks catering to the needs of SMEs, has a wide geographic coverage in the main regions of the Russian Federation.

A 4 year loan of up to RUB 600 million.

Environmental Impact

Categorised FI. Carcade will be required to comply with the EBRD’s Performance Requirements 2 and 9, implement the EBRD’s Environmental and Social Procedures for Leasing , and submit annual environmental and social reports to the EBRD.
