Toepfer Group, based in Hamburg, is one of the world’s leading agricultural commodity trading companies specialising in trading of agricultural products, such as grain, oilseeds, feedstuffs and fertilizer. Toepfer is based in Germany and is one of the leading agribusiness companies globally.

The project was categorised B and due diligence conducted by means of a detailed environmental and social questionnaire which was completed by Alfred C. Toepfer (Ukraine) Ltd. and submitted to the EBRD for review. The questionnaire covered all the relevant aspects under the Bank’s Performance Requirements. The environmental and social issues associated with the activities of the borrower are limited and generally addressed through adherence to the national environmental requirements. No environmental and social action plan will be required for the project. Alfred C. Toepfer (Ukraine) Ltd. will provide the Bank with annual environmental and social reports and will be reporting on any incidents or accidents.
