Current electricity generation

In 2012, electricity in Ukraine was generated by the following:

- Nuclear power plants: 45.5%

- Thermal generators and combined heat and power plants: 48.7%

- Hydropower plants: 5.8%

There are four nuclear power plants with a total of 15 nuclear units and a  total installed capacity of 13,835 megawatts (electrical).
