SME Finance Forum at EBRD discusses support for small businesses

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) cordially invites you to a conference “Hidden champions” in South-Eastern Europe, which will take place on 7 October 2019 at the EBRD Headquarters in London.

“Hidden champions” are highly successful small and medium-sized companies that represent global market leaders in their respective businesses, operating in niches and mostly with other businesses on B2B level. A research report prepared by the IEDC Bled School of Management and Central and East European Management Development Association (CEEMAN) will be presented at the event and will highlight the survey results and insights from the participating entrepreneurs.

The conference will commence with an opening address by Charlotte Ruhe, EBRD Managing Director for Central and South Eastern Europe, followed by a presentation of the survey results by Danica Purg, Dean and President, IEDC-Bled School of Management, Slovenia and other academics, and a panel discussion with several “hidden champions”.

The executive summary of the report will be handed out at the conference, while the report itself will be published at the EBRD website.

There will be opportunities for interviews with conference attendees and representatives of the participating companies following the event. If you are interested, please email Ksenia Yakustidi to confirm the name of the interviewee you wish to speak to. Kindly note that we will be allocating the limited slots on a first come, first served basis.
