India became the EBRD’s 69th shareholder when it joined the Bank in July 2018.
The value of joint India-EBRD investment stood at €966 million as of the end of February 2020. EBRD finance accounted for €772 million, and India investment accounted for €194 million.
The joint investment has been in Turkey, followed by Romania and Ukraine. Broken down by industry, the investment has been in financial institutions, and in industry, commerce and Agribusiness.
From 2015 to 2019, Indian consultants were awarded 1 contract worth over €15,2 million.
