India became the EBRD’s 69th shareholder when it joined the Bank in July 2018.
India will not receive EBRD funding. But we encourage Indian companies to become more involved in our investments and to apply for procurement and consultancy opportunities associated with our projects.
The EBRD has long worked with top-class Indian companies, cooperating with Indian enterprises such as Tata, SREI and Jindal.
The EBRD has also collaborated with leading Indian chambers such as the Confederation of Indian Industry and the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India.
