Law in transition - 2005: Courts and judges

Abstract

While significant efforts have been made to upgrade the quality of legislation throughout the transition countries, further efforts are needed to improve the implementation of laws. Increasing attention is now being focused on the main actors in this process, the judges. This issue of Law in transition discusses work being undertaken across the region to improve judiciaries.
