Transition report update 2005

The EBRD’s transition countries grew by a record amount in 2004 thanks to the strong global economy and further progress in structural reforms. Strong capital flows also continued, with foreign direct investment reaching new highs. This report reviews recent economic developments in the region, focussing on macroeconomic issues, and provides an outlook for 2005.
