Emerging Technologies Fund, L.P. (the “Fund”) will be a USD 100 million venture capital fund, which will be set up by Troika Capital Partners Limited (the Fund Manager) in order to invest in Russian companies developing innovative technologies.
EBRD will commit to invest up to USD 15 million in the equity of the Fund alongside the Fund Manager and other investors.
It is expected that each of the Fund’s equity investments will typically be in the range of between USD 2.5 million and USD 5 million. The Fund’s target markets include: enterprise infrastructure and application software, optoelectronics, wireless applications, alternative energy and clean technology.

Transition impact:

The transition impact effects of an investment in the Fund will include the following:
- Support institution building and expansion of Russian venture capital;
- Facilitate commercialisation of highly innovative hi-tech products;
- Provide assistance to investee companies through an experienced team led by Troika Dialog Group, which would actively help with strategic issues of business development, marketing and finance.

Emerging Technologies Fund, L.P. (the “Fund”) will be a USD 100 million venture capital fund, to be established as an Isle of Man limited partnership. The general partner of the Fund is Troika Ventures General Partner Ltd., an Isle of Man company (the “General Partner”), and the fund manger of the Fund is Troika Capital partners Limited (the “Fund Manager”). The General Partner is to be 100% owned by the Troika Dialog Group.

Environmental impact:
|
The Fund will adopt and implement environmental due diligence procedures based on the Bank's Environmental Procedures for Private Equity Funds. The Fund must adhere to the requirements of the Bank's Environmental Exclusion and Referral List and ensure that investee companies comply, at a minimum, with national standards for environment, health and safety. The Fund will submit annual environmental reports to the EBRD.
