Project description
and objectives:

The proposed project consists of the renewal of the main air traffic control centre for Croatia, including the construction of a new building and the purchase of a state-of-the-art system. The new facility would be located in Zagreb. The project will allow the renewal of Zagreb Area Control Centre in order to (i) replace a life expired system, (ii) allow Croatia to cope with the expected increase in air traffic over its territory. The project will also aim to improve the financial and managerial performance of CCL and its co-operation with Eurocontrol.

The project will consolidate CCL as a financially viable and independent company. It will also finalise the integration of Croatia air navigation system within the pan-European framework of Eurocontrol.

The client:
|
Croatia Control Ltd (CCL) is the air navigation service provider in Croatia, with exclusive responsibility over that area. CCL was incorporated on 1 January 2000 as an independent limited liability company, with a 100 per cent shareholding by the State.

EBRD
finance:
|
A €25 million loan. The European Investment Bank will co-finance the project. The project will benefit from a sovereign guarantee from the Republic of Croatia.

|
€55 million.
