Since the start of the TAM operations in Armenia in 2003, 13 projects have been completed in a variety of sectors and industries. A total of approximately €1.4 million in funds has been invested to finance these and other on-going projects. TAM projects have a wide coverage across industry sectors.
BAS Armenia helped small and medium enterprises to improve their financial position, generate employment and gain access to finance. As a result they achieved a total turnover increase of €128 million, and a total employment increase of 5,811. A total of €86 million in external funding was obtained, of which €26 million came from the EBRD. The BAS Programme in Armenia has been monitored and has always received successful ratings.
TAM has undertaken a total of 18 projects, 5 of which are still in progress, with more enterprises at the pre-project, screening stage. TAM projects have a wide coverage across industry sectors, but there has been a geographic concentration of projects in the capital, Yerevan. Sales & Marketing, General Management and Support to Production are the most common objectives for TAM projects in Armenia.
The BAS grant is a key component of BAS assistance, thus helping financially constrained enterprises to access consultancy services. A Grant Guideline Matrix is used in order to prioritise intervention to areas where BAS assistance is additional in Armenia
