Sustainable energy and climate change

The most energy-intensive economies of the world are in the transition region – including Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan. 

There is a strong correlation between economic growth and increases in CO2 emissions. Energy efficiency is potentially the most effective way to reduce carbon emissions in short to medium term.
