Chernobyl: 25 years on

Chernobyl unit 4 after the accident in 1986.

26 April 2011 marks the 25th anniversary of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in Northern Ukraine. The images in this slideshow show the progress in making the destroyed unit 4 safe.
