Chisinau Airport Modernisation Project II
Airside Works
This Invitation for Prequalification follows the General Procurement Notice for this project which was published on the EBRD website on 7 October 2008 and updated on 20 October 2009.
S.E. Chisinau International Airport hereinafter referred to as the Purchaser, intends using part of the proceeds of a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and European Investment Bank (EIB) towards the cost of Chisinau Airport Modernisation Project II.
The Employer intends prequalifying firms and joint ventures to tender for the following combined contract to be funded from part of the proceeds of the loan:
Airside Works, the Scope of which includes:
- Civil works for the rehabilitation of runway, taxiways and apron
- Construction works including building works e.g. for new airfield lighting
- Refurbishment of airfield lighting;
- Rehabilitation of parts of the airside drainage system;
- Rehabilitation of rainwater treatment plant; and
- Modernization of power supply.
Prequalification and tendering for contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from the Bank is open to firms and joint ventures of firms from any country. The proceeds of the Bank's loan will not be used for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, of for any import of goods, if such payment or import is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations or under a law of official regulation of the Purchaser's/Employer's country.
Prequalification documents may be obtained from the address below upon payment of a non-refundable fee of 200 € or equivalent in a convertible currency. Payment can be made by bank transfer to the following account:

If requested, the documents will be promptly despatched by courier, but no liability can be accepted for loss or late delivery.
The prequalification documents must be duly completed and delivered to the address below, on or before January 15, 2010, 10-00 AM local time. Documents which are received late may be rejected and returned unopened.
