GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE
This notice updates the General Procurement Notice for this project published on the EBRD's Web site and in the Slovak Newspapers Hospodárske noviny on 9th January 2009.
The Bohunice International Decommissioning Support Fund (BIDSF), administered by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, was established in November 2001 to finance and/or co-finance selected projects over a period of approximately 15 years amounting to approximately EUR 375 million. Jadrová a vyraďovacia spoločnosť, a.s. (JAVYS) is undertaking a programme of pre-decommissioning projects and measures in the energy sector which are consequential to the decision taken by the Slovak Republic to final shutdown Bohunice Nuclear Power Plant, Units 1 and 2 (Bohunice V1 NPP) to be financed and/or co-financed with the resources of the Fund. Approval of the project financing is subject to the decision of the Assembly of Contributors of the BIDSF. The Assembly may modify the contents of the projects. The proposed pre-decommissioning support projects would require the procurement of the following goods, works, supply and installation and services contracts in the following four areas over the next twelve months:
• Physical modifications to the existing plant and plant systems;
• Erection of new buildings for interim radioactive waste storage and decommissioning support and systems for materials clearance, radioactive waste processing and security;
• Waste management projects, oriented to the processing, characterization of waste and upgrading of the current installations;
• Dismantling projects and decontamination of the facilities.
• Erection of new administrative building and Information centre
• Waste stream logistic planning.
Tendering for the above contracts is expected to begin in 2010.
The PMU, which ensures that the pre-decommissioning support projects are completed on time, with a budget within limit and within defined quality standards, will conduct the tendering process.
The procurement of contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a BIDSF grant, administered by EBRD, will be subject to the EBRD Procurement Policies and Rules with the exception of country eligibility restrictions defined within the BIDSF.
The eligible countries in December 2009 are: the European Union member states, Switzerland and the EBRD's countries of operations. The proceeds of the BIDSF grants will not be used for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, of for any import of goods, if such payment or import is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations or under a law of official regulation of the Purchaser's country.

The following notice refers to goods, works, supply and installation and services to be procured through tendering for a projects financed by the Bohunice International Decommissioning Support Fund (BIDSF) which is administered by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). Potential tenderers desiring additional information on the procurement in question or the projects in general should contact the Project Management Unit (PMU) and not the EBRD.
