PLEASE NOTE THE SPECIFICATIONS OF THE CONTRACTS HAVE BEEN AMENDED

GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE

This is an update to the GPN first published on EBRD’s website on 15th February 2007.

State Unitary Enterprise for Communal and Housing Services of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) has received a loan from the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (the Bank) and intends using the proceeds to finance the modernization of existing heat supply facilities and introduction of new heat power sources in inhabited localities of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) The proposed project, which has a total estimated cost of about EUR 27.5 million, will require the procurement of the following goods, works and services:

• Modernization of Heat Supply Facilities in Srednekolymsk, which would involve the following lots:
- boiler-houses
- district heating points
- heating networks and water supply of the boiler plant
• Modernization of Heat Supply Facilities in Chersky, which would involve the following lots:
- boiler-houses
- district heating points
- heating networks and water supply of the boiler plant
• Modernization of Heat Supply Facilities in Belaya Gora which would involve the following lots:
- boiler-houses
- district heating points
- heating networks and water supply of the boiler plant

Tendering for the above contracts is expected to commence in the third quarter of 2009.

Contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from the Bank will be subject to the Bank's Procurement Policies and Rules and will be open to firms from any country.

The proceeds of the Bank's loan will not be used for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, of for any import of goods, if such payment or import is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations or under a law of official regulation of the Purchaser's country.
