GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE

This General Procurement Notice (GPN) is an update of the notice first published on 19 February 2007.

Kobuleti Tskalkanali LLC intends to use the proceeds of a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the Bank) for a project to improve water and waste water services in the City of Kobuleti. The project is also co-financed by MCC (USA) and ORET (Netherlands). The proposed project, which has a total estimated cost of EURO 20.4 million equivalent, will require the procurement of the following works and services:

• Rehabilitation of the water supply system in the City including pipe network, pumping stations and installation of water meters.
• Rehabilitation works for Kobuleti waste water system, including repair of I, II, III pumping stations, cleaning and repair of existing sewage system, construction of WWTP, and a storm water system;

Tendering for the above contracts is expected to begin in the 2-nd quarter 2009.

Contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from the Bank will be subject to the Bank's Procurement Policies and Rules and will be open to firms from any country. The proceeds of the Bank's loan will not be used for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, of for any import of goods, if such payment or import is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations or under a law of official regulation of the Purchaser's country.
