GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE
The State of Bosnia and Herzegovina has applied for a loan in the amount of up to 25 million from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for a project to finance construction of the main interchange on the motorway from Banja Luka to Gradiska.
Grant co-financing in the amount of up to EUR 5 million is being considered by the European Commission.
The project has a total estimated cost of up to EUR 35.5 million. The proposed project will require the procurement of works. The project may include consultancy services for works supervision and implementation assistance as well as advisory service for institutional strengthening.
Tendering is expected to start during the second quarter of 2009.
Contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from the Bank and of a grant from the European Commission will be subject to the Bank's Procurement Policies and Rules and will be open to firms from any country. The proceeds of the Bank's loan will not be used for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, of for any import of goods, if such payment or import is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations or under a law of official regulation of the Purchaser's country.
