S.C. Apa-Canal 2000 S.A. Pitesti (the “Company”) has requested a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the “Bank”) and intends using the proceeds for a project for the support of the rehabilitation of water supply and sanitation system in Arges County.
The Company will be the implementing agency. The proposed project, which has a total estimated cost of EUR8.5 million equivalent, will require the procurement of the following works and services:

Domestic sanitation system Calea Campulung, area II
Water supply system Calea Campulung area
Rehabilitation of Stefanesti pumping station and of the domestic sanitation for Valea Mare and Stefanesti
Water supply system Albota and Bradu
Domestic sanitation Tancodrom area
Engineering Supervision (Company financed)

Contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from the Bank will be subject to the Bank's Procurement Policies and Rules and will be open to firms from any country. The proceeds of the Bank's loan will not be used for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, or for any import of goods, if such payment or import is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations or under a law or official regulation of the Company’s country.
