This is an update to the General Procurement Notice for this project originally published on the EBRD’s web-site on 1 October 2000.
The Municipal Waterworks and Sewer Enterprise of Cracow, Miejskie Przedsiębiorstwo Wodociągów i Kanalizacji S.A. w Krakowie, has received a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in the amount of EURO 20.1 million, to finance the project “Sewage Treatment Plant Płaszów II”, which is also co-financed with the EU Cohesion Found and the Employer’s own means.
The project includes:
- Ongoing contracts:
o for Modernization and Extension of Wastewater Treatment Plant Płaszów II in Krakow
o for construction of the sludge incinerator;
o for reclamation of sludge lagoons;
o for construction of the Lower Vistulla Terrace collector (Stage I and II).
- Contract for construction of the Lower Vistulla Terrace collector (Stage III).
Tendering for the outstanding contract is expected to start in March 2008.
The contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from the EBRD will be tendered in accordance with the EBRD Procurement Policies and Rules and will be open to firms from any country. The proceeds of the EBRD loan will not be used for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, or for any import of goods, if such payment or import is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations or under a law or official regulation of the Employer’s country.
