The Kozloduy International Decommissioning Support Fund (KIDSF), administered by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD, was established in 2001 for the support of the decommissioning of Units 1-4 of the Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant. One of the purposes of this Fund is to finance or co-finance preparation and implementation of selected projects that aim the necessary restructuring, upgrading and modernisation in various Bulgarian industry sectors consequential to final shutdown of Units 1 - 4 of the Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant.

Citygas Bulgaria Ltd intends to use grants from the Kozloduy International Decommissioning Support Fund for supply and installation of polythene pipes, steel pipes, fittings, fixtures, gas metering stations in industrial and communal objects as part of the development of gas distribution networks in three locations in Bulgaria (Dimitrovgrad, Chirpan and Rakovski)

The tendering for the above contracts is expected to begin in the ІІ quarter 2008.

Tendering for contracts to be financed from grants of the KIDSF, is open to firms from eligible countries as of 1 February 2008. These are: EU member states, Switzerland and the EBRD's countries of operation.
