This GNP updates the notice published on the Bank’s web site on 26 July 2005.
The Public Enterprise “Aerodromi Crne Gore” has received a loan from the
European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and from the European
Investment Bank (EIB) to finance the Montenegro Airports Modernisation Project
at Podgorica and Tivat airports. The proposed project has a total estimated
cost of EUR 28 million. Realisation of the Project has already started. Before
finalising, the Project will require procurement of the following works and
services:
• Upgrade of the electricity installations - 10 kV cable for power supply of
Podgorica airport
• Provision of spare parts for Airfield Lighting
It is anticipated that tendering for the foregoing contracts will be initiated
in the second half of 2007.
Contracts to be financed with the proceeds of the loan from the European Bank
for Reconstruction and Development will be subject to the Bank's Procurement
Policies and Rules and will be open to firms from any country.
The proceeds of the Bank's loan will not be used for the purpose of any
payment to persons or entities, or for any import of goods, if such payment or
import is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council
taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations or under a law of
official regulation of the Purchaser's country.
