This is the renewal of the General Procurement Notice No. 5423-GPN-36127 published on 26 September 2006.
Port of Ploce Authority has applied for a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and intends to use its proceeds to contribute towards financing the construction of a new bulk terminal in the Port of Ploce. The proposed investment is part of the Trade and Transport Integration Project co-financed by the World Bank. The EBRD funds will be used to co-finance:
• Construction of the new bulk terminal in the port area.
Tendering for the above contract is expected to begin in the second half of 2008. The tender will be conducted in accordance with the requirements of the World Bank’s ‘Guidelines -Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits and subject to both WB and EBRD review
The proceeds of the EBRD’s loan will not be used for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, of for any import of goods, if such payment or import is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations or under a law of official regulation of the Purchaser's country.
