Starwood Hotels & Resorts announces the grand opening of the Westin Warsaw
The city of Warsaw celebrates today the grand opening of the new luxurious Westin Warsaw Hotel, located in the heart of the business and financial center of the capital. The VIP gala will take place partially outside the hotel and on the 3 levels inside the building. Magdalena Mo?ek, one of the best Polish TV presenters, will host the celebration. Special concerts by Andrzej Smolik, 4-te and Agnieszka Hekiert Trio will add splendor to the evening. Over 1000 guests will delight in an exquisite menu fusion style, created by Executive Chef, Artur Grajber.
The owner of The Westin Warsaw is Hotel Atrium sp. z o.o where main shareholders are Skanska Holding II BV and the City of Warsaw. The loan agreements were signed in Warsaw on May 3, 2001, with lenders European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and Caisse des Depots et Consignations–IXIS (CDC) in Paris on May 16. The total investment is 79,5 M euro.

The Westin Warsaw Hotel, 20-floor international business hotel, includes 361 rooms, facilities for conferences, ballroom, 150 m² presidential suite with panoramic view, restaurant “Fusion”, “JP’s” Bar and a fitness center. The hotel was designed by the architects John Portman & Associates of Atlanta, Georgia, USA, Design Office Kazimierski and Ryba, Warsaw, Poland and Skanska Teknik Ab, Sweden. The interior design was elaborated by Wilson & Associates Inc. of Dallas, Texas, USA. One of the most modern and spectacular architectonic elements at The Westin Warsaw is definitely a big panoramic elevator placed in a transparent tube. The elevator moves at the rate of 3.5 meters a second and offers visitors a great panoramic view of the city of Warsaw.
