    Foreign direct investment

    and wages

In this study, EBRD economist Çagatay Bircan shows

that foreign direct investment flows into Turkey

do not benefit all recipients equally. In particular,

only those firms with high levels of foreign equity

participation and their skilled workers are the primary

    beneficiaries.

The EBRD Working Paper series is produced by

EBRD economists and other partners to stimulate

debate on the economic transformation of central

and eastern Europe and central Asia.

    Transnational organised crime generates an

estimated US$870 billion each year, making stopping

    enforcement.

To support this effort, more than 50 legal and

compliance officers have attended EBRD workshops

in Georgia and Tajikistan to learn how to detect
