Cevat Giray Aksoy

Biography

Cevat Giray Aksoy is a Principal Economist in the Office of the Chief Economist at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in London and a Researcher at the London School of Economics and Political Science.  His current work mainly focuses on labour market inequalities and economics of fertility.

Cevat Giray is the recipient of the Young Researcher Award from the Association of British Turkish Academics and is selected as a Leader of Tomorrow by The St. Gallen Foundation.  He also contributes to the social inclusion agenda of World Economic Forum and occasionally writes for LSE Business Review and University of Oxford based collaborative blog, openpop.  His research has been covered by local, national and international media and policy outlets, including Financial Times, Mirror, Reuters, The Daily Mail, The Telegraph, The Times, Quartz, Vox, and World Economic Forum, among others.
