One of the EBRD roles is to collect, analyse and disseminate information about secured transactions law and practice in the region and progress that is being made. This information may assist countries carrying out reform, it may highlight potential for further improvement and it may also serve as useful background material for anyone involved in secured transactions. Since the rationale for secured transactions is economic, special emphasis is put on making this information as practical and as anchored to the market as possible.
Please select the country which is of particular interest to you:
If you are interested in comprehensive analysis covering several countries, or in how EBRD prepares and conducts its secured transactions assessment work, please consult the surveys methodology page.
The surveys and guides are not intended to be a comprehensive study and should not be treated as a substitute for specific advice concerning individual situations. The EBRD has done its best to be accurate, consistent and fair. However, covering a large number of jurisdictions, combined with limited availability of some information and differing views expressed by those consulted will inevitably have led to some imperfections. Therefore, comments to SecuredTransactions@ebrd.com are highly appreciated.
