The EBRD hosted a conference on "Fighting food inflation through sustainable investment" in March 2008.

Organised by the EBRD and the FAO, the conference discussed the causes and consequences of rising food prices, as well as the appropriate policy and business responses. The conference looked at ways in which public and private sector could work better together and how to create a sustainable agribusiness climate.
