The EBRD is helping to ensure that the private sector plays a prominent role in the economic development of the Kyrgyz Republic. The Bank’s fundamental objective in the country is to develop dynamic micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs). It is also continuing its support for the development of the telecoms sector, and is financing a modernised framework for the industry that is consistent with international norms.
