The EBRD is the largest investor outside the oil and gas sector in Kazakhstan. The Bank focuses on promoting domestic and foreign investment, supporting the financial sector, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and public sector infrastructure. The EBRD is also active in natural resources, telecoms and agribusiness in Kazakhstan.
