The EBRD invests in changing lives – a mission that couldn't be achieved without its 1,500+ employees.
With staff coming from dozens of countries, our workforce is as diverse as our portfolio.
The Bank recruits talented and driven individuals to work in our London headquarters and resident offices spread across our countries of operations.
Locations and job types
The EBRD is a unique international financial institution supporting projects across three continents. Investing primarily in private sector clients whose needs cannot be fully met by the market, the Bank promotes entrepreneurship and fosters transition towards open and democratic market economies.
We look to recruit people passionate about our values and work. Whether you are a banker, analyst, economist, IT specialist or researcher, there are a number of opportunities to support the Bank in its operations from client relations to communications.
If you are a national of one of our 61 shareholders or 29 countries of operation, you are eligible to apply. Our employees come from a diverse range of educational and professional backgrounds and speak a number of languages, all helping to create a diversified, passionate, forward-thinking workforce.
Benefits & rewards
We believe that hard work deserves great rewards. We offer competitive base salaries and annual performance-based bonuses. Permanent staff can enjoy addition benefits such as medical insurance, generous and flexible annual leave options, retirement benefits, reduced gym membership rates and staff discounts at a wide array of retailers.
We recognise the challenges of working far from home, so if you move from another country to take up a post with us, we’ll help by providing ongoing assistance and relocation allowance.
The International Professionals Programme
High-calibre university graduates are encouraged to apply to join our International Professionals Programme (IPP) . If you have a master’s degree (or equivalent) in a field related to our work, between one and three years of relevant work experience and fluency in written and spoken English, we’d love to hear from you.
The IPP isn’t easy; you’ll be pushed far beyond your comfort zone in terms of cultural, geographic and intellectual challenges. If you have what it takes, the IPP will change how you see the world.
For 12 adventurous postgraduates, a 23-month period spend within the IPP will expose you to some truly amazing work. You’ll start and finish the programme in our London headquarters, doing three separate six-month rotations in various roles. You’ll also go to one of our countries of operations for a five-month placement in a resident office.
The IPP isn’t your everyday graduate scheme. Candidates are sent in at the deep end and quickly take on significant responsibilities. Your rewards and benefits will reflect that. Besides a highly competitive salary, 25 days of annual leave and comprehensive medical insurance, truly exceptional IPP participants will be invited to join the Bank as a permanent member of staff.

We recruit interns on an ongoing basis, to fill a variety of junior roles across many EBRD departments. Whilst we do not operate a formal internship programme as such, the numerous interns working at the EBRD gain valuable experience and insight into the organisation.
