BAS has been operating in Russia through 3 BAS offices starting in 2000 in Northwest Russia(NWR), 3 years later, BAS opened an office in Kaliningrad and finally in 2004, BAS set up another office in Vladivostok
After more than 9 and 6 years of operations, the offices of NWR and Kaliningrad closed in 2009. BAS remains currently operating in the Far East Russia office located in Vladivostok.
- BAS Programme in Northwest Russia was established in 2000 and closed in 2009. NWR first received funding from Finland and Germany. Further funding was then provided by Denmark, Luxembourg, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and the EBRD. During its 9 years of operations, the BAS office in Saint Petersburg has undertaken a total of 213 projects with small and medium enterprises (SMEs), engaging 110 consultants.
BAS Programme in Northwest Russia was presented at a number of seminars and other events organized for SMEs and consultants. It has also undertaken a number of market development activities in 2009.
- BAS programme in Kaliningrad was established in July 2003 and closed in 2009. Kaliningrad first received funding from Finland, Luxembourg and Sweden. Further funding was then provided by the EBRD. During its 6 years of operations, the BAS office in Kaliningrad has undertaken a total of 146 projects with small and medium enterprises (SMEs), engaging 57 consultants.
BAS Programme in Kaliningrad was presented at a number of seminars and other events organized for SMEs and consultants. It also carried out 6 market development activities in 2009.
BAS office - Far East Russia
BAS Programme in Russian Far East was established in 2004 with funding from Japan. To the end of 2009, BAS office in Vladivostok has undertaken a total of 279 projects with small and medium enterprises (SMEs), engaging 91 consultants as well as 8 market development activities, including training events promoting development of the local consultancy market.
TAM Programme
In 1994 the TAM Programme started its operations to support local small and medium enterprises in Russia and since then has utilised some of the world’s most experienced business leaders in projects to advise companies on how to modernise their management practices and improve turnover and productivity at no cost to the company itself. A total of 196 projects have been completed in a wide variety of sectors and industries. Each company was individually screened to assess eligibility for TAM Assistance and in its final stage was assessed against objectives agreed at the start of the project.
