Български

The BAS Programme in Bulgaria was established in November 2001 with funding from the European Union. Further funding has been provided by the UK (DFID), Central European Initiative (CEI), Austria, Luxembourg and most recently the EBRD and Portugal.

To the end of 2008, BAS in Bulgaria has undertaken a total of 332 projects with 314 small and medium enterprises (SMEs), engaging 203 consultants. The BAS Programme in Bulgaria has also undertaken a number of market development activities, including six training events promoting the development of the local consultancy market and increasing competitiveness of small and medium size companies.

In 1998 the TAM Programme started its operations to support local small and medium enterprises in Bulgaria and since then has utilised some of the world’s most experienced business leaders in projects to advise companies on how to modernise their management practices and improve turnover and productivity at no cost to the company itself. A total of 59 projects have been completed in a wide variety of sectors and industries. Each company was individually screened to assess eligibility for TAM Assistance and in its final stage was assessed against objectives agreed at the start of the project.
