Peter Reiniger, Business Group Director, Central Europe, Western Balkans, Telecommunications, Informatics & Media

Peter Reiniger graduated as a mechanical and industrial engineer in Budapest in 1970. He started his career in medium-size company specialising in automation technology for the Russian oil and gas industry. In 1975 he was employed by the Ministry of Industry of Hungary, where he held various positions, including Deputy Minister (1989-1990).

In 1991 Peter joined the newly established EBRD- first as a director for Hungary team, and then as director of the Telecommunications team as well.  Since 1998 he resumed responsibility for oil and gas, mining, and subsequently for the whole Energy sector. Peter held a number of non-executive directorships in Banking and Telecommunication sector.
